I bought my webtv eleven months ago. I'd been curious about surfing the web for quite some time, but didn't want to shell out a lot of money for a computer. When I found out that I could go "online" for less than $300, I was sold. I went down to Sears, looked things over, and pulled out my wallet.
I spent every spare moment of the next several weeks in an obsesseive state of frustration. I wanted to chat, but didn't know where or how. The search engines were a mystery to me. Everywhere I went, I was shunned and ridiculed for not being Java capable. Feeling like an idiot, I randomly emailed any person's address I might stumble across asking for help.
And here's the amazing thing: I got it. Some very kind people took time out of their busy lives, sat down, and wrote me an email or two answering all my questions.
This website is my way of thanking those people and "passing it on".
Although a webtv is much easier to use than a computer, nobody is born with an inate knowledge of how to use the internet.
WebTV 4 Rookies is a collection of "How To" lessons which answer the questions we're all so afraid of asking...The very first ones!
In the section below, you'll find links to these lessons, and to the Resouces Page, which is a huge list of links to other webtv related pages.
More To Come
Like most WebPages, WebTV 4 Rookies is a work in progress. Check back often, I'll be adding lessons as time allows.
